Problem Solving Business Training
What is business all about? Well, generally it is about creating a product or service, then finding a customer base to sell it to, and servicing those customers and ensuring they are satisfied with the product(s) and/or service(s) they receive.
It sounds easy on paper, but we all know that a large part of business is the business of problem solving. Whether it is working out how to increase sales of a particular product, how to effectively but fairly deal with an unreliable supplier or how to encourage staff to perform to their best, most tasks undertaken at work can be seen as problems of varying degrees of difficulty and complexity that must be overcome.
It is interesting, therefore, that very few businesses give their employees any specific training on problem solving, and approaches to overcoming problems that are faced. Most people learn through experience (or 'doing it the hard way'), when there are a range of simple methods and techniques that can be brought to bear on a large range of problems to help make headway and, at the very least, provide some insight into how to proceed, and what to take into account whilst proceeding.
