Creativity Workshops

It may seem as though there is a slight irony between the process of creativity and being instructed and given techniques on how to be creative. However, this is simply not the case. Just as in order to write books, which may or may not be creative works of fiction, we need to learn how to read and write in the first place, so in order to think creatively, some techniques for ways of thinking are needed.

businesswoman What is creativity? In general, it is the process of coming up with solutions to a problem that are not based purely on following a simple logical method or algorithm. For instance, solving the sum "what is 2 + 2" is not a creative task since there exist a series of rules that can be clearly followed to reach the solution.

However, coming up with a name for a new drink, or an idea for a new product, certainly is a creative process.

Our creativity workshops emphasise the practical applications, and so exercises are very much geared towards the sorts of creative enterprise that may be required in the office. With fun and interactive group based sessions, an enjoyable atmosphere is created to encourage employees to fully engage in the workshops and explore their creative sides without fear of having their ideas instantly scrapped like can happen only too easily in a formal brainstorming workshop.

Looking at ways of being creative, and a structured approach that can help tackle problems when ideas appear to be in short supply, the creativity brain training workshop is an invaluable guide that offers real, tangible help both for those who are naturally creative and particularly for those who run a mile when they hear words such as 'creativity', 'brainstorming' or worse jargon such as 'blue sky thinking'.

With a take-away guide explaining what is covered in the workshop in which trainees are encourages to take notes and write down what they learn during the day, as well as their responses to certain exercises, there is an ongoing benefit to the sessions.

If any of your employees wish to think about being creative in a new way and without being filled with dread at the thought, if it would be useful for them to explore techniques and learn how to set the scene for creative thinking, then this workshop is a must. With 1/2 day and full day sessions available, training materials and follow-up sessions and support, this is a fantastic opportunity for boosting creativity in your business, and in these times of credit crunch this is surely only a good thing.
